Download Boxee from below link

http://www.boxee.tv/signup

Once installed run boxee and go
to Apps->Repositories->Add Repository

then:

Enter in one of those URLs.
navi-x.org/boxee
dir.fuzzthed.com (directory of repos)

If you want to view on your tv if your pc or laptop has Tv_Out or HDMI this can be connected to inout on your tv either HDMI or TV_out to scart lead.

Also There is XBMC that can be run on a 10 year old XBOX Original or Apple Tv ver 1 & 2
