Philips bdp-3000
I bought the Philips bdp-3000 Player almost 3 months ago and can tell you that it is a excellent bit of kit for the price! the picture quality connected via hdmi to my toshiba regza 42" tv is excellent no complaints its simple to use and is very stylish player. Lately have updated the player via the internet (yes it connects to the internet) and they have added a usb facility on the start menu that lets u connect a usb flash disk or usb external hardrive so u can play mp3, mp4,mpg and avi files directly from the device! Which is a feature that was sadly missed after updating from my previous dvd player! the load up times of the discs are fast no waiting for main menu to load up the remote is well laid out. This blu-ray player comes with blu-ray live 2.0 which if the blu-ray player is connected via ethernet cable to your internet router u can cinechat! (instant message with other film viewers!) when watching the movie, get updated content, film reviews and news and links to websites and other content. overall i am over the moon with the player and can enjoy blu-ray dvd's with ease (no problems with any titles not playing!) and at 99 quid! you cant go wrong! *****
p.s also is region free with remote hack but only on dvd's that is not blu-ray region free
