Nokia

I have access to online wap yahoo messenger on my nokia phone. but i have to use it in the browser which doesnt notify when a new message is recieved. I have yahoo messenger on it also but that uses sms balance and i get charged 25 cents for each is there a way to use the wap messenger or some application that uses yahoo wap messenger and or a way so i can send and recieve messages without using my sms.

only thing i can think off is try and use free wi-fi connection like in restaurants,shopping malls and hotels and connect to them instead of your network this way you wont be charge this is what i do on my i phone but there should be wap settings to be able to edit what model of nokia is it?
