Young drivers insurance

So it's hardly breaking news that the cost to insure a young driver is outtanding. And I think I'm right in saying the cost increaed by 17% in braford alone, due to stupid claims.

Despite all this, there must be some cheap cars to insure for us young drivers.I thought my old car being insurance group 5 would have been cheap. Yet it was approximatly 5k to insure. About 8X the value of the car.

What cars can you pick up cheap and easily that are more pocket friendly where insurance is concerned?
